SpenIt AICore Privacy Policy

Overview

SpenIt AICore is a free Android-only variant of SpenIt. It helps you track expenses, scan receipts, record income, review spending insights, and optionally back up your records with Google Drive.

SpenIt AICore is designed around local, on-device use. Your financial records are stored on your device unless you choose to use optional Google sign-in or Google Drive backup features.

Information You Provide

You may add receipt photos, PDF files, expense details, merchant names, categories, notes, income records, currency preferences, backup settings, and sign-in preferences. These records may include financial information that you choose to enter, scan, import, or restore.

Camera, Photos, and Files

SpenIt AICore requests camera permission so you can scan receipts and documents directly in the app. Camera access is used only when you choose to capture a receipt or document.

If you import images or PDFs from your device, gallery, file picker, or Android share sheet, SpenIt AICore uses those files to create or review expense records. Imported files are not used for advertising and are not sold.

On-Device AI Features

SpenIt AICore may use Android on-device AI features, including Google AICore where available, to help extract receipt details and generate spending insights. When on-device AI is used, processing happens on your Android device.

If an on-device AI feature is unavailable, SpenIt AICore may use Android or Google ML Kit capabilities available on the device to support text recognition and extraction. The app does not sell your receipt, income, or spending data.

Google Sign-In and Google Drive Backup

Google sign-in is used to authenticate you in the app and support optional Google Drive backup and restore. If you sign in with Google, SpenIt AICore may access basic account information such as your email address and profile details provided by Google for authentication.

Google Drive backup and restore are optional. When enabled, SpenIt AICore stores backup data in your Google Drive app data folder. Backup data may include records needed to restore your expenses, income, receipts, preferences, and related app data on your device.

Biometrics and Passkeys

SpenIt AICore may let you sign in or unlock using Android biometrics or passkeys. Biometric information is handled by Android and your device. SpenIt AICore does not receive or store your fingerprint, face, or other biometric template.

Ads and Payments

SpenIt AICore is free. The current Android beta does not show ads and does not process in-app purchases.

How We Use Information

We use information you provide to run app features, organize records, extract receipt details, calculate summaries, show spending insights, restore backups, protect access to the app, and provide support.

Data Sharing

SpenIt AICore does not sell your personal or financial data. Data may be processed by Google services only as needed for sign-in, Google Drive backup and restore, Android system services, on-device AI, or app functionality that you choose to use.

Data Retention and Deletion

Local records remain on your device until you delete them in the app, clear app data, or uninstall the app. Google Drive backups remain in your Google Drive app data folder until you delete them through the app or your Google Account settings.

Children

SpenIt AICore is not intended for children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can help remove it.

We may update this policy when SpenIt AICore changes. The latest version will be posted on this page with the updated date above.
